Hello, my name is Lon and I  will be more than happy to be your tuk tuk driver and guide for your visit in Cambodia and the Angkor temples. I am 36 years old and live in Siem Reap.

I speak English well and I will teach you some Cambodian words too !

Why travelling together ?

To be a driver and a guide is not just my job, but also my passion. Having contacts with visitors offers wonderful moments for sharing our different cultures. I will be your driver for the temples and your guide to discover my country and the beauties of Cambodia but also to meet local people and explain you how they live. It is still an authentic country and you will enjoy exploring temples, rural villages, rice paddies, local life and trying tasty food and specialities.

 

Travelling with a four seats tuk tuk offers you a lot of advantages.You can take pictures, ask me to stop or slow down when you want, enjoy a close contact to the local people, have fresh drinks at your disposal. There is always a lot of things to see on the Cambodian roads and except the temples, you will discover a beautiful countryside. I have even an extra USB battery for your electronic equipement. Do not forget your camera !

In a tuk tuk you will remain naturally cool with the wind and well protected from the sun. If it rains, I have rain protections, so do not worry, you will remain dry and comfortably seated.

You can also travel with your personal guide for the temples if you want. 

CLIMATE:

November to February is the dry and best season to come. The sky is clear and temperatures are nice. March to May is hot and quite dry. June-August : hot and wet - but the nature is beautiful. September-October (end of monsoon): less hot and less wet gradually.

VISA:

Most nationalities need a visa to enter Cambodia. Either you get it at the airport or you print at home 2 copies of an e-visa and you will save much time when arriving. Check this link:

HEALTH:

There is no risk of malaria in the area of Siem Reap. Check the other requested vaccines.

The region is safe and peaceful.

ANGKOR TEMPLES:

Ticket price is USD$37 for a 1 day pass, USD$62 for a 3 day pass and USD$72 for a 7 day pass. You will buy your ticket when arriving at the check point with my tuk tuk.

Children under 12 years old get free entrance. 

Credit cards are accepted or cash USD.

TEMPLES GUIDES:

I am not allowed to be a guide inside the temples, only certified guides are allowed. Please tell me if you need one - many spoken languages available (about USD 35-50 a day depending on the language).

If not I can provide you with an english or french book about the temples. Each temples is well presented in a few pages.

CURRENCY

All is paid in USD in Cambodia. Take small notes (USD 1-2-5 mainly). Credit cards are accepted in some restaurants, bars or shops, mostly in the city center. Most hotels accept credit cards.

AIRPORT

I can arrange your transfer with my tuk tuk, Taxis are also available.

It takes about 15 minutes to the town center.

FLIGHT

Air Asia -Thai Airways-Bangkok airways, etc...Cheap flights from Bangkok (1 hour trip only).

HOTELS

Contact me for ideas. It is nice stay close to the city center, old/night market, the night life -restaurants-bars-khmer massage, etc. It is important to have a quiet place...as it is better to leave early in the morning for the temples visit.

SOUVENIRS

Silk is cheap and beautiful. Cosmetic products, the famous kampot pepper, khmer crafts articles, teas, coffes, spices, ceramic, jewelry, clothes/textile.
